Needs better controls and interface
The program itself is in a class of its own. For my needs, the content is sufficient about 80% of the time. On occasion, youd notice that some important anatomical part is missing from the database. I believe the inadequacy of the magnification may be to blame. In other words, you know a small part is there, but you cannot zoom into that structure enough for the program to identify it or for you to even select it. Therein lies the problem. If you expect small anatomical parts-- bursae, tendons, nerves, small joints, ligaments-- to be identified then you might be disappointed. (this was mentioned by another reviewer) I hope they have an increased magnification capability next version around.
Some things that might improve an otherwise good program:
1. Easier way of selecting structures--
Sometimes I do need to tap on the screen several times to highlight the structure of interest. Again, more magnification might help.
2. Some ability to lock the cadaver in place so that you can 3-finger swipe up and down without dragging the cadaver with your fingertips.
3. Maybe some nitpicking, but there is too much momentum when you drag the cadaver around. Making the motion sticky might be better for this type of application which relies on the person to look at details and not big swaths of information.
4. Different colors for arteries, veins,
nerves, connective tissue/bone, bursae, and muscles would be great for better visualization of different overlying structures.
The rest of the controls are intuitive and easy to use. For 10 bucks, this is a very good price for the features. Id pay extra to see the improvements Ive mentioned.
